      How to choose the right tool

      • 1. Hold the work first

        A small vise or clamp keeps both hands free for the knife or gouge. Each vise listing states its clamping range, its base type and the kind of surface the base is made for.

      • 2. Look after the edge

        A strop with polishing compound is used to refine a carving edge between sharpenings. Each listing states the strop size, what is in the package and, where the manufacturer lists it, what the backing is made of.

      • 3. Check what is in the package

        Sets differ in the number of pieces, their length and whether a roll or sleeve is included. Compare the exact contents on the product page, and ask us if a detail you need is missing.

        You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order, provided the item is unused and in the condition you received it, with tags and original packaging. Contact us first through the contact page and wait for the confirmed return address. Our Refund Policy has the full terms.

        Check your order when it arrives and contact us within 14 days of delivery with photographs of the item and its packaging. We will provide a remedy as required by the consumer law that applies to you, and you do not pay return shipping when the fault is ours.
